Anxiety Institute offers specialized anxiety and OCD treatment using an advanced model of care for adolescents and young adults suffering from moderate to severe anxiety.
The Anxiety Institute intensive treatment model, comprised of 10 hours of individual care each week, is unique among anxiety treatment centers and is complemented by 10 hours of wellness and group therapy.
Position Summary
Anxiety Institute is recruiting a Clinical Outreach Coordinator to partner with our team in managing our outpatient and intensive outpatient treatment programs in McLean, VA.
The Clinical Outreach Coordinator is an entry to mid-level outreach professional responsible for supporting referral development, professional relationship building, and community engagement within an assigned territory.
This role works closely with the Director of Clinical Relations to execute outreach strategies, prospect new referral sources, coordinate meetings, conduct follow-up communications, and support local marketing initiatives. The Clinical Outreach Coordinator plays a key role in expanding the referral network, maintaining consistent outreach activity, and ensuring timely follow-through with professional contacts.
This is a full-time salaried position and you must reside in the DMA area. This is not a remote position.
Responsibilities
Professional Outreach & Relationship Development
- Identify and research prospective referral sources including clinicians, physicians, psychiatrists, educational consultants, and school personnel
- Schedule introductory meetings and conduct strategic outreach to introduce Anxiety Institute’s services
- Build and maintain a robust database of professional contacts
- Track all outreach activity in Salesforce
Follow-Up & Referral Support
- Ensure timely and professional follow-up after meetings, events, and referrals
- Send thank-you notes, educational materials, and program updates
- Support relationship development with active and recent referral partners
- Coordinate tours and visits for referring professionals
Event & Community Engagement
- Assist in planning and coordinating local outreach events and professional gatherings
- Support logistics including invitations, materials, RSVP tracking, and follow-up
- Represent Anxiety Institute at community events, conferences, and sponsorships
Outreach Operations & Marketing Support
- Maintain accurate documentation of outreach activity and referral data
- Support tracking of outreach metrics and campaign performance
- Assist with social media content and capture photos at events
- Partner with marketing to execute local initiatives
Team Collaboration
- Partner with clinical, admissions, and marketing teams
- Support identification and resolution of outreach or referral barriers
- Contribute to broader team initiatives as needed
Goals
- Conduct 20–30 outreach interactions per week, including meetings, drop-ins, and virtual introductions
- Schedule new prospect meetings weekly for senior outreach leadership
- Ensure follow-up communication within 48 hours of professional interactions
- Maintain ongoing touchpoints with assigned referral sources
- Assist in coordinating at least one local outreach event per quarter
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred in Marketing, Healthcare, Communications, or a related field
- 1–3 years of experience in outreach, marketing, healthcare operations, or business development preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and follow-through
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with CRM systems, Salesforce preferred
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
- Ability to pass background and health screening requirements
Experience in behavioral health, adolescent programming, or IOP/residential settings is a plus but not required.
