Staff Highlight

Paul Castaldi, LCSW
Staff Clinician

Palm Beach/ Boca Raton, FL

Paul Castaldi comes to Anxiety Institute with vast experience working with adolescents, young adults, and their families, in both outpatient and residential settings. Understanding the critical role of families in their child’s treatment, Paul completed an 18-month intensive training program in family therapy at North Shore Hospital in Salem, MA.

Paul has extensive managerial and clinical experience as well, most recently as Clinical Director of the North American Family Institute. In these roles, Paul employs an integrative approach to the treatment of anxiety including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), the gold standard for anxiety treatment, Motivational Interviewing (MI), Multisystemic Family Therapy (MST), and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT).

Paul believes MST is an essential clinical complement to CBT and group therapy. In this model, the clinician serves as the family’s structural and strategic architect to facilitate growth and recovery that will persist long after treatment ends. By developing a strong client partnership and instilling hope for recovery, Paul helps his clients identify and rely on their own strengths to move forward. Further, by assessing the individual family’s needs, Paul provides strategies to parents to bolster their child’s journey after therapy has ended.

From the Team in Palm Beach County, FL...

“I feel so grateful that we found this program. This is the first place aur daughter felt that they were actually looking to help her and having the ability to do so. It’s the first time she felt ‘we are going to help you’ and they did.”
