Ms. Alexis Powers received her Master's Degree in Mental Health and School Counseling at New Jersey City University. She has more than 10 years of experience as a counselor and care manager working with children, adolescents, and families with behavioral and mental health challenges. Alexis has worked in a myriad of settings with socio-economically diverse populations at the Children’s System of Care in New Jersey, a Care Management Organization (CMO) in Passaic County, and as an Intensive In-Community Therapist (IIC). Alexis has a particular interest in the role of family therapy in health, healing, and recovery. She has been trained and certified in Nurtured Parent as a facilitator working with families, and has experience treating anxiety, depression, trauma, and adjustment disorders.
