Brendan LaCorte earned his Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Ramapo College of New Jersey. He went on to earn his Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from The College of New Jersey. His strengths include counseling topics surrounding boys and men. Brendan garnered much of his experience in Partial Hospitalization Programs and Intensive Outpatient settings, working extensively with adolescents at both the individual and group levels.

Brendan’s counseling philosophy includes concepts from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy. These techniques enable Brendan to combine evidence-based techniques with his compassionate counseling resulting in effective solutions.  He has counseled clients struggling with a wide array of mental health difficulties, including anxiety disorders, depressive disorders, adjustment disorders, and substance abuse.

His Inspiration:

When I became an Eagle Scout, I learned the value of service and the importance of connectedness. By forming powerful bonds with my clients, I allow them, and their families, to better overcome the difficulties and uncertainties they face in order to become their authentic selves.
