Mr. John Wyetzner received his Master’s in Social Work from the Silberman School of Social Work at Hunter College in 2020. John has been working at the Anxiety Institute for almost 2 years and has over five years of experience in mentoring and providing clinical services to adolescents and young adults. Most recently, he worked as a clinician in the counseling center at Bronx Community College. John also counseled teens in a high school serving students with anxiety and other mental health related issues.
A double major in psychology and social work at Skidmore College, John dreamed of becoming a therapist since he was fifteen years old. He values the use of self-compassion as a therapeutic tool .He also believes in the importance of exercise and music as complementary tools in his clients’ journey of recovery.
His Inspiration:
John was controlled and consumed by anxiety as a young teenager. Intensive treatment transformed his life. His mission is to help his clients and their families develop the resilience and grit to push past their anxiety and achieve their own dreams.
