Kenny has over 5 years of experience working with children and adolescents to provide academic and mental health coaching. Prior to joining the Anxiety institute, Kenny worked at Discovery Behavioral Health as a part of the treatment team assisting in the implementation of treatment and relapse prevention plans. Kenny also has experience as an academic counselor at LEAD Academy, where she provided academic enrichment, math and reading skill development, and homework assistance meeting the individual physical, social, emotional, and intellectual needs of participants. Kenny has experience working with mood disorders, anxiety, and trauma in both residential and outpatient settings. She is excited to apply that experience to exposure therapy.
Kenny plans to pursue a masters in counseling and hopes to influence public health policies and serve the BIPOC community (black, indigenous, and people of color) advocating for their access to mental health resources.
Kenny has witnessed first-hand the debilitating impact of anxiety on adolescents and young adults; it stifles their dreams and impedes their potential. She is inspired when her clients are liberated from the burdens and limitations anxiety, living to their full potential.
