B.S., Florida Atlantic University // M.S. in Mental Health Counseling, Palm Beach Atlantic University
Loy joins the Anxiety Institute from Florida with over two decades of leadership and client care experience. Most recently, Loy worked there with dual diagnosis patients in the co-occurring unit at a Behavioral Health Center in West Palm Beach.
He earned his undergraduate degree from Florida Atlantic University and his master’s degree from Palm Beach Atlantic University in Mental Health Counseling. He has extensive experience with groups and is a certified hypnotherapist. Loy has also served for several years on the Board of Directors for a non-profit organization, Hanley Foundation, focused on the treatment and prevention of substance abuse in schools and communities.
In co-running a children's charity for fifteen years, Loy has seen the first-hand affects of anxiety on adolescents and their families, from post-traumatic stress after hurricanes to simply coping with difficult situations. Through such shared experiences, he brings hope, humor, honesty, curiosity, and kindness into his therapeutic relationships.
