Dr. Timothy Leistner received his BS from Ohio University in Psychology and Education. and then pursued his Master’s in Early Childhood Education, and his Doctorate in Curriculum Development and Systemic Change. During his distinguished teaching career at Florida Atlantic University, Timothy combined those skills to focus on art as a conduit for personal growth. Timothy has taught and practiced art therapy in both public and private schools, developed individualized education plans (IEP) for students, as well as worked with individual clients in all phases of childhood development. With this depth of experience, upon meeting a client, Timothy knows immediately which materials to give them so they learn to express themselves in ways they may not be able to articulate.

A published author and an award-winning artist himself, Timothy’s career is not just a nine to five job, but his passion. In his free time, Timothy engages adolescents and young adults in a variety of settings, including schools, camps and seminars.

His Inspiration:

My kindergarten teacher saw I had talent and encouraged my mother to develop my talent. Now I have a rich life. I promise I will find the talent in each client to enable them to break through barriers and move forward.
