Kristin Nistico, LPC

Clinical Outreach Specialist

BA, Canisius College // MA, Fairfield University

Kristin Nistico pursued her Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Fairfield University, after graduating with her BA in Psychology from Canisius College. Kristin’s clinical background in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), combined with her strong interprofessional skills, allow her to design and execute multilevel outreach programs that bridge the gap between families and psychological resources. Working closely with psychiatrists, clinicians, educational consultants, and school counselors, Kristin facilitates the partnering of clients and their families with the appropriate level of care.

Kristin’s clinical experience, focus, and passion remain in the adolescent population. Having worked as a clinician and outreach specialist in both outpatient and residential milieus, she finds satisfaction in witnessing the transformation and growth during this stage of our clients’ lives.

Her Inspiration:

In my first job in Stamford as an intake coordinator, I was surprised to see how few people were aware of the levels of care and community resources available to them. I understood how critical the appropriate resources are to effective clinical care and chose to dedicate myself to connecting families with these valuable programs.
