Skye Bennett

Music Therapist

BM, Berklee College of Music // MMT, Slippery Rock University

Skye Bennett joins Anxiety Institute as a Board-Certified Music Therapist with experience in both chronic and acute anxiety in adolescent and young adult populations. After graduating with a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Therapy from the Berklee College of Music in Boston, Skye completed an additional internship at Dallas Children’s Medical Center where she used music to help patients manage anxiety surrounding their diagnoses. Consolidating her experience with adolescents, Skye worked at Dominion Hospital in Virginia for three years, successfully employing music therapy in the School Anxiety program for students experiencing obsessive-compulsive disorder, phobias, social anxiety, and selective mutism.

Skye imparts to her clients how music therapy can support their healing whether they feel they are musical or not. It is neither important nor necessary for clients to sing or play an instrument. All that is required is curiosity.

Her Inspiration:

I believe that all people are inherently musical. Our hearts, our breath, and our everyday movements all occur in rhythm. I am inspired by the uniqueness of each individual client and am passionate about using music therapy to promote wellness, autonomy, and self-expression.
