Marian Hwang is a seasoned clinician with over ten years’ experience addressing emotional regulation challenges and self-harming behaviors. Certified in dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), she is deeply committed to measurement-based, evidence-based care. Her approach illuminates each individual’s goals, values, and vision to foster purposeful and courageous living. She also enjoys partnering with parents to help them support their children through the emotional challenges of childhood and adolescence. In addition to her clinical work, Marian has served in leadership roles within intensive outpatient programs (IOP), day treatment, and outpatient levels of care.
Outside of work, Marian enjoys spending time with her husband and two young children. An avid indoor rock climber, she often draws on the practice as a metaphor in therapy—highlighting mindfulness, perseverance, and the courage to face discomfort in pursuit of growth.
Her Inspiration:
Supporting loved ones through anxiety disorders has given me a deep appreciation for the strength it takes to face fear and keep showing up. I’m continually inspired by the resilience and courage of those who commit to the challenge in pursuit of a life that feels rich, connected, and meaningful.
