Lexie Krane is currently pursuing her Doctorate of Psychology at The Chicago School in Washington, D.C. She has worked with adolescents and adults experiencing OCD and anxiety disorders in both college counseling centers and outpatient settings. Lexie integrates cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), exposure response prevention (ERP), and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) to create individualized treatment plans for clients with complex anxiety, OCD, and trauma-related disorders.
She has a strong interest in treating contamination OCD and OCD with repugnant themes. Personally, Lexie enjoys arts and crafts and spending time with her cat—activities that bring her a sense of grounding and joy.
Her Inspiration:
Early in my training, I worked with a client who was terrified of harming someone while she was driving, which led to her not driving at all. Together, we tackled these fears one trip at a time. Seeing her regain her independence and confidence affirmed how exposure work can transform people’s lives.
