An Tran completed her clinical training with Anxiety Institute before joining our team, bringing a deep understanding of adolescent and family care shaped by her hands-on experience within our program. She previously served as a primary counselor at a psychotherapy and addiction center, providing individual and family therapy to adolescents with complex mental health needs. An completed a prior internship at the George Washington University Community Counseling Center. She brings a person-centered approach that supports each client’s capacity for resilience, self-awareness, and growth.
An is passionate about working with adolescents and young adults experiencing anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), and avoidant-restrictive food intake disorder (ARFID), utilizing acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) and exposure response prevention (ERP). Personally, An enjoys yoga, gardening, and exploring farmers markets.
Her Inspiration:
Growing up in Vietnam, my personal experience with anxiety greatly shaped my understanding of resilience, cultural identity, and compassionate individualized care. Navigating different cultural experiences has fueled my passion to work with adolescents and teens who feel overwhelmed and out of place.
