Betsie Bergman brings more than fifteen years of experience in direct client care and clinical leadership. She has worked in a variety of settings, including private practice, specialized clinics such as the SEED Center in Stamford, CT, and as a team leader in the Intensive Outpatient Program at St. Vincent’s Hospital. Betsie specializes in treating pre-teens through young adults with anxiety disorders, depression, specific phobias, and school avoidance, as well as high-functioning teens on the autism spectrum with co-occurring anxiety.

Licensed in five states, Betsie supervises Anxiety Institute clinicians across multiple locations. She also leads the MSW internship program at our Greenwich location, having successfully guided six interns through their social work training.

Having faced anxiety and phobias myself, I bring empathy, authenticity, and creativity to my work. This perspective helps me support clients as they build confidence, resilience, and the skills to engage more fully in their lives.
