Ms. Betsie Bergman joins the Anxiety Institute with more than ten years of experience in direct client care and clinical leadership. She has worked in variety of settings from private practice, specialized clinics (the SEED Center, Stamford, CT), and as Team Leader in the Intensive Outpatient Program at St. Vincent’s Hospital. Betsie specializes in working with pre-teens through young adults struggling with anxiety disorders, depression, specific phobias, and school avoidance. She also has a passion for working with high functioning teens on the Autism Spectrum with co-occurring anxiety disorders.
Her Inspiration:
Betsie knows first-hand the limiting nature of anxiety and phobias. Through this shared experience, she brings empathy, authenticity and creativity to her work. She is inspired by her clients’ personal growth, increased confidence and their expanding opportunities after they develop grit, courage and resiliency with treatment.
