AS, Bergen Community College // BSW, Ramapo College of New Jersey // MSW Candidate, Montclair State University

Brandon Ramos is an MSW student at Montclair State University with a concentration in Children, Youth, and Families. Brandon brings experience in community-based mental health case management, supporting adults with serious and persistent mental illness, co-occurring substance use concerns, housing needs, psychiatric care coordination, and individualized service planning. He also has experience supporting children through volunteer work at Montrose Early Childhood Center.

Brandon’s interests include anxiety treatment, trauma-informed care, emotional regulation, and supporting children, adolescents, and families through stressful life experiences. His background as a U.S. Army veteran and current Air National Guard member has shaped his discipline, resilience, adaptability, and commitment to service. Brandon hopes to bring a calm, steady, and supportive presence to clients as they build confidence and coping skills.

In his spare time, Brandon enjoys spending time with his two young toddlers. Being present with them has strengthened his patience, empathy, and understanding of child development, qualities that continue to shape his work with children, adolescents, and families.

His Inspiration:

I have seen how anxiety can affect not only one person, but an entire family. As a father, I understand how deeply parents want their children to feel safe, confident, and able to enjoy life. As a U.S. Army veteran, I learned that courage is not the absence of fear, but the ability to move forward with support. Anxiety Institute’s mission to transform the lives of anxiety and OCD sufferers and their families connects with why I chose this field: I want to help children, adolescents, and families face anxiety with hope, support, and the belief that life can get better.
