Isabela Yoguez joins Anxiety Institute following the completion of her master’s degree, with a specialization in work with children, youth, and families. During her graduate training, Isabela completed an internship at the Yale Child Study Center, providing therapeutic support to children and adolescents experiencing anxiety, mood, and trauma- and stress-related disorders. She also gained experience working with individuals across the lifespan, including teens, adults, and older adults, through her internship at Family Centers.
Isabela brings a compassionate and holistic clinical approach, integrating skills from cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), mindfulness practices, and active-learning techniques to create a supportive space for individuals of all ages. Grounded in a family systems lens, Isabela strives to foster a non-judgmental environment that includes and supports both individuals and their family members.
Outside of her professional practice, Isabela prioritizes physical activities including pickleball, yoga, and Pilates, which help her cultivate a stronger mind–body connection and engage with dedicated, supportive communities.
Her Inspiration:
Having played lacrosse and field hockey throughout my childhood, I understand the challenges of performance anxiety and perfectionism. By incorporating cognitive behavioral techniques and practicing open communication with my teammates, coaches, and parents, I learned firsthand how transforming core beliefs and thoughts can foster positive self-affirmation and build resilience in highly competitive environments.
