Sara Nami, MA, ATR-BC

Art Therapist

BS, Long Island University Post // MA, Long Island University Post

Sara Nami has extensive experience working with children, adolescents, and families in clinical and therapeutic settings, with a particular focus on creative arts interventions. She specializes in art-centered, experiential, and collaborative approaches that help young people explore emotions, build coping skills, and strengthen resilience. Sara has led creative arts therapy in inpatient and partial hospitalization programs and has provided individual and group art therapy to military-connected youth and families at Alexander T. Augusta Military Medical Center.

Outside of work, Sara enjoys spending time with her family, being outdoors, gardening, and engaging in creative activities. She believes that creativity and connection to nature help people slow down and stay present—qualities that are essential both in everyday life and in the therapeutic process.

Her Inspiration:

When I was a kid, I had a hard time talking about my feelings until an art therapist helped me express what I couldn’t put into words. That experience showed me that creativity can open doors that words sometimes cannot and inspired me to help others use art to share their inner world.
